I spent an exhilarating week in Oman earlier this year, and I promptly fell in love with the country — it’s often overshadowed by the over-the-top mayhem of its neighbor Dubai, but it’s an unassuming — and breathtaking — natural foil to all of the UAE’s manmade glitz.
