I too am a platterholic. I will sometimes find myself on any given weeknight driving 45 min for the oh such glorious platter.

genius level writing – especially for a nail-filer such as yourself!! you captured the aura surrounding platterology and the diaspora of customers at 53rd and 6th brilliantly. one thing i disagree with – eating platter food a day later just doesn’t do it for me. honestly it seems like the sauces kind of get caked on to the rice and dries up. with me, you gotta eat it fresh.

I have had platters for years and love them, especially the Gyro. I now live between two homes, one in the Shenandoah Valley and the other in Washington,D.C.
Work, and hobbies, take me to NYC about every other month and I get my Platter fix as soon as I get to 53rd & 6th!!!! Hail to the great mix of spices!

i’d like to tackle a couple of pertinent issues, if i may.

first of all, am i going to be the only one who leaves comments? or rather, judging by the quality of the baby’s handful of comments left by others, am i going to be the only one leaving non-lame comments? because i’m coming off as rather stalkerish. hell, i’m about ready to file a restraining order on myself on your behalf.
